Darwin and Top End Attractions
A visit to the Top End is a unique opportunity with a range of sights and activities on offer. From local markets and First Nations cultural attractions and tours, through to crocodile experiences and taking in UNESCO World Heritage Sites, there are a range of memorable experiences on our doorstep.
NorthernTerritory.com is a good starting point to explore many of the things on offer in the NT. While you’re in town though, do drop by the Top End Visitor Information Centre, which is located at 6 Bennett Street in the CBD, to get some additional information and looking into some of the deals and tours that are on offer. You might also be interested to know that this year’s Million Dollar Fish recently opened, if you’re wanting to wet a line.

Attractions in and around the local Darwin area:
- Markets
- Parap (Saturdays, 8am-2pm)
- Nightcliff (Sundays, 8am-2pm)

Attractions a little further afield from the local Darwin area:
- Tiwi Islands (80km north of Darwin)
- Tours from Darwin include light aircraft flights or a ferry ride with Sealink Northern Territory. Flights from Darwin to Bathurst Island take 20 minutes, or the ferry ride takes 2.5 hours.
- Litchfield National Park (100km south of Darwin)
Popular attractions include Wangi Falls, Buley Rockhole, Florence Falls and Tolmer Falls
