As you prepare for your presentation at ALAA 2025, we are providing some general information to support you.
Preparation and Delivery
We encourage all presenters to prepare in advance and attempt to keep text on slides brief to complement your talk. The audience has decided to attend your session to hear, rather than read, your story.
Time Management
Please pay attention to time allocation for your session:
- Paper presentations are allocated 30 minutes in total. This allows for a 20-minute presentation, 5 minutes for Q&A and discussion, and a 5-minute change over with the next presenter.
- Workshops are allocated to a 60-minute session, which allows for a 50-minute workshop component, 5 minutes for further Q&A and discussion, and a 5-minute change over with the next presenter.
Paper Sessions
Paper presentations are scheduled in concurrent sessions. Papers in each concurrent session will be delivered back-to-back and should adhere to time allocation to ensure a smooth changeover for audience and presenters.
Workshops
Workshop presenters are encouraged to facilitate their session in a manner that includes hands-on or interactive elements with a clear takeaway.
Session Chairs
Each concurrent session will have a designated chair who will moderate the session and assist in keeping time.
Technology Compatibility
All rooms will have computers (Windows) and projectors ready for use. Presenters may not use personal laptops or devices. Please ensure that you bring your presentation on a USB drive in .pptx or PDF format. If you are using Mac or non-PC software, please ensure your files are PC compatible in advance.
Pre-Visit
We encourage all presenters to visit their assigned room in advance to check layout, seating, and equipment, and to pre-load their PC-compatible files.
