The conference theme this year is Language and the interface of mono-/multi-/translingual mindsets and the conference host institution, Charles Darwin University, is located in the regional city of Darwin. Darwin is closer to major Southeast Asian cities than to any other Australian capital city and is therefore firmly situated within and between the two regions.
